At Honore Developments, we believe property development should be about people first, not just numbers.

What began with renovating older homes and creating spaces people could truly feel proud of has evolved into a passion for building thoughtfully designed communities that improve the way people live every day.

After building and operating a successful retail business across New Zealand, our founder Chris Honore made the decision to move to Tauranga for a better lifestyle and to raise a young family. That shift reinforced a simple idea that continues to shape every development we create today, a home should feel comfortable, functional, connected, and built for long-term living.

We saw too many modern developments prioritising density over liveability. Smaller spaces, minimal storage, lower specifications, and homes designed to meet the minimum rather than exceed expectations. Honore Developments was created to challenge that standard.

Every home we create is carefully considered from the way natural light moves through the space to how a kitchen functions day-to-day, how storage is incorporated, and how communities connect beyond the front door.

We focus on creating homes with larger floorplans, thoughtful layouts, quality materials, higher ceilings, and practical spaces that genuinely improve everyday living. In many of our developments, this includes premium features such as tiled bathrooms, enhanced energy efficiency, solar integration, shared landscaped areas, and carefully selected finishes designed to stand the test of time.
